Above 3 attempts to simulate a painting from a photo of Octobriana (actress Noora Piili which played the main role in the movie "Octobriana & the Finger of Lenin")

  • The first attempt is with Gimp - using the "Oilify" filter
  • The second attempt is made with Photoshop Element - using Paint Daubs / Dark rough
  • The third attempt was made with ArtRage and took obviously  a lot more time to paint

Below a modification of the last version (ArtRage) using Gimp to fix some color issue - 
And below a variation in only 4 colors - the file is very small 12kb
